New Anti-Fog Coating Options

New Anti-Fog Coating Options

As we know, anti-fog glasses are essential to ensuring the safety of workers in some settings. If glasses are fogging up they are either hindering sight or taken off, both scenarios leading to higher safety risks. In a previous blog, we covered the 3 primary anti-fog coatings we have had available to us over the past many years. However, in recent weeks, we have added two additional coatings to this list.

Our existing coatings include the H2MAX and H2X coatings from Pyramex and Performance Fog Technology (PFT) from Global Glove/Globus Group. Each with their own unique properties and available for indoor and outdoor settings. In addition to these specialized coatings, you will now be able to shop two additional options from Globus Group. Both of these coatings provide the anti-fogging qualities many of our clients need, while also seeing some added value. Namely, the durability of the TECTON 400 coating.

ARIDA™ 400

ARIDA™ 400 is a moisture repellent coating for glasses focusing on clarity of vision for outdoor workers. These lenses feature an ARIDA™ coating on the outer surface of the lens, with the inner surface also having anti-fog properties.

TECTON 400

The TECTON 400 coating is anti-fog, anti-scratch, moisture repellent, and boasts UV 400 protection. This coating is designed to prevent high UV light from passing through the lens in addition to its anti-fogging properties. The anti-scratch component of this lens allows for greater durability overall.

Options are the key to a highly effective safety plan because every single workplace is unique. So, as your options become more numerous, we are here to break them down and find the features that best meet your specific needs.
